Here’s a completely pointless and garbage post. It makes no argument.

Brendan O’Connor shares a post by Jeb Bush that is a picture of a gun made by FN USA with “Gov Jeb Bush” engraved on it. He then sort of says that Jeb is special because sometimes people post pictures with guns and then get arrested. Jeb did not. He even cites instances in the news when people were arrested. The part he leaves out is those people were arrested for making threats against others, often implying they’ll use a gun. The other instance he cites is an illegal gun ring that was busted because they used social media. All while this is going on, he destroys his own points by sharing Instagram pictures people post that weren’t arrested.

He also, unnecessarily, points out that FN produced weapons for the Nazis while they were occupied by said Nazis. It’s almost as if he believes that occupied territories never once did the bidding of occupiers.

As far as I can tell he’s trying to imply Jeb is a Nazi sympathizer and a gun nut. A special, protected from the law, politician that can do something us mere mortals could only dream of: posting pictures of guns on social media without any repercussions. Ya know, except for the fact that thousands of people do this all the time.

Maybe he should’ve used google before typing out this drivel. Just another clickbait post meant to rile the base. Guns. Republican. Nazis.

Gawker is supposed to be more focused on politics but so far it’s only been “republicans are bad, Bernie is good” but almost nothing to substantiate either claim. Hell, the newest post is literally about Trump’s wife’s poop.

I’m glad I bought my FNH 45 without Jeb’s name on it.

One of the stupid arrest stories he cited was a person posted an emoji of a gun and an emoji of police. That was taken as a threat and he was arrested. Bit of a leap there.

He's an adult, presumably with a clean criminal record. The examples he lists of people getting arrested were all breaking the law to begin with. Even if the example of the 13 year olds weren't making threats, it's illegal for a 13 year old to own a gun, which would get the attention of someone. He showed instances of Instagram pictures of guns/people with guns that weren't investigated. He defeated his own barely there argument.

I would assume it’s because Jeb is a fairly well known figure and if there were anything questionable, it would have been brought up during his quest to become a presidential candidate.

It’s funny how hypocritical they are. Gun violence is ok for people I don’t agree with politically. Don’t go into the comments section about the weirdo militia people. They call for police to kill them.

But, a cop shoots someone not clearly republican? “Kill the cop” “cops are terrible” etc

I don't call for violence against anyone. We all have a right to live regardless of affiliation

Most fun way to troll, whenever the far right talk about a black guy being shOT by police and they always say the usual “don’t break the law you won’t get shot” type of comments I always enjoy responding with “well if said black man had a gun he could have defended himself from the tyrannical actions of Obamas government”. They always seem to forget that police are also government

That’s the fun part of being politically moderate. If I want, I can screw with anyone. When people are so far to one side they paint themselves into a corner they can’t get out of without contradicting themselves.

Fun fact: the NRA pushed for more strict gun laws because of the Black Panther movement and they didn't want black people with guns.
